Volunteer Compensation Policy

All members of the Department will be compensated for their time as a volunteer with the City of Eagle Grove. Payment will be made on a monthly basis after approval by the City Council. A check will be sent or picked up after the first or second Wednesday of the month. Compensation payment will be paid for the following only:

1. All time while on the actual call. This includes re-stocking the unit and the cleaning, disinfecting of the unit.

2. Any function in which a unit is required to be staffed and present at that specific function.

The compensation payment will be as follows:

1. Nine dollars ($9.00) for the hour of duty.

2. A bonus will be given for anybody that takes call from 06:00 AM Saturday to 06:00 AM Monday the bonus will consist of $ 1.25 per hour for every hour on call during that time frame.

The compensation pay scale will be reviewed periodically by the, City Administrator, and the City Council.
