The Double D Diner is very proud of their on-call staff: nursing consultant, Kimberly Baker RN BSN MS; and food consultant Chef Noah. Chef Noah designed the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Procedures) plan for the Double D Diner. He evaluated each meal from cooking, to plating, to freezing in order to insure the safe flow of food from start to finished product. He has also made logistical adjustments in the food plating area. This insures all food plated at the facility to reach frozen temperatures, well within federal and state guidelines. The French-based cuisine and items with a sauce reflect Chef Noah's influence. He adapted our recipes for celiac patients, as well as altering ingredients to accommodate diabetic and heart patients, without sacrificing flavor. Dawn Dowd has been active, either as a consultant, or owner of restaurants, for over 20 years. She is licensed by the State of Iowa for food service and catering. She also is certified in Iowa as a Medicaid provider and by the National Restaurant Association ServSafe Program. The Double D Diner meals encompass fine dining, international cuisine, and down home favorites. Main menu favorites are available year round.
