1965 Mustang Coupe

(“The Filly”) - Purchased in August 1983 for Kathy by her parents to use as college transportation. It served as a semi-daily driver until 1987 then an occasional driver and show car until the winter of 1989 when it returned to daily driver use. After a winter of salty, sandy Iowa roads took its toll on the body, the car has been semi-retired to storage while awaiting funds to restore it to show condition. Body restoration and painting is scheduled for this summer. It’s in very good original condition and has not been modified at all except for the addition of dual exhaust (and boy does it sound nice!). This car definitely embodies the spirit of the original Mustang!

It was sold new in June 1965 at Johnson Ford Sales, Old Route 66, Lebanon, MO for $2,735. We have information documenting all of the car’s owners from the Missouri Department of Motor Vehicles since it was new. We’re the seventh (and final!) owners.
