Lakeside Festivals, LTD

Welcomes you to

DixieFest.net

22nd Annual DixieFest will

feature top Midwest bands

For the past 21 years, during the last weekend in July, Dixieland jazz has invaded Clear Lake, Iowa. Visitors from surrounding states, across the nation, and from several international countries, have gathered to hear what has been termed “America’s only original art form”, traditional jazz music, performed by musicians from not only the Upper-Midwest, but as far away as Australia and France. The serene lakeside venue comes alive with sounds that were heard in the long-gone pavilions that lined the nearby lakeshore during the early years of the 20th century.

On July 26th and 27th, the 22nd Annual Lakeside DixieFest will include music from four different bands to include Fat Babies Jazz Band”, from Chicago, “Pearl St. Jazz Band” from La Crosse, North Iowa’s “Spats 'n Flapper Speakeasy Orchestra”, and the host band The Raiders of the Lost Art from Mason City, Iowa.

Concerts will run from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Saturday evening, and from Noon until 7:00 pm on Sunday. There will be a 9:30 AM church service in the park led by “The Raiders of the Lost Art”

The Lakeside DixieFest continues to be one of the very few traditional jazz festivals in the country that is free-to-the-public, thanks to the generosity of several area businesses and organizations, and contributions from individual patrons.

All concerts will be held in the Ludwig Wangberg Band Shell in Clear Lake’s City Park, right on the shore of beautiful Clear Lake.

Come early and join us for a Triple-decker Lakefest weekend to include the 26th Annual Iowa Storytelling Festival, held on Friday evening and Saturday, and the 37th Annual Clear Lake Art Sail, all day Saturday.
