Some frequently asked questions (and answers) about our Cable TV service:

Q: Why won't my TV or VCR get any channels above 13 ?

A: Usually because it isn't programmed for cable. Use your remote control or Owner's Manual to find out how to set the tuner to Cable. It may be necessary to enter channels individually. Some TV's lose programming from a power outage or lightning surge. Old TV's require a converter.

Q: How many TV's can I hook up to Cable?

A: There is enough signal for 2 to 4 outlets without boosting the signal. Unlike other appliances, the signal is divided by the number of outlets, so it doesn't matter if the TV is hooked up or turned on. VCR's also reduce the signal to the TV by half (on most installations).

Q: Why can't I just pay for the Basic Channels I want?

A: Unfortunately, the program providers base the price we pay by the number of customers that get their channel. Also, it would require everyone to have a box on their TV, complicating things further. Basically, it would just cost too much. We don't want to raise rates any more than you do.

Q: Why has the price gone up?

A: We add more channels every year, and our costs go up. For instance, ESPN, TNT and some others have more than doubled recently. Other stations increase a few percent each year, and it adds up.
