DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Rural Business and Cooperative Program

The Business and Industry direct and guarantee loans finance up to $10 million for development or improvements to businesses in rural communities under 50,000 population. Available to individuals or any legal public/private entity.
Technical assistance is available to existing cooperatives or for the formation of new cooperatives.
Rural Economic Development Loans and Grants are available to any Rural Utilities Service electric or telecommunications borrower to assist in developing rural areas from an economic standpoint, to create new job opportunities, and to help retain existing employment.
