DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:

• In-Home Family Counseling-POS through Department of Human Services

• Foster Care Services-foster home licensure, placement supervision, foster parent                        support group-POS

• Adoption Services-Special Needs adoptive home licensure, home studies for private          adoption and international adoption, postplacement services, support group for                  adoptive parents

• Domestic Abuse Intervention Service-batterers education programs for male and female perpetrators, both court ordered and voluntary

• Family Counseling-in-office counseling for individuals, couples and families at Fort Dodge, Webster City and Clarion sites, EAP contractor

• Family Crisis Intervention Service-counselor on call 7 days a week from 10 am to 9 pm to provide immediate counseling service for up to 30 days in Webster County

FEES: POS, sliding scale client fees, private insurance, Title XIX-depending on particular program

ELIGIBILITY: POS programs require meeting DHS eligibility guidelines, Crisis Unit counseling must take place within Webster County

AREA SERVED: Hamilton, Wright, Humboldt, Webster, Pocahontas, Calhoun, Kossuth, Hancock and Winnebago Counties

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Application for POS programs through DHS, otherwise contact Children and Families Iowa to request service

TRANSPORTATION: N/A

ACCESSIBILITY: Children and Families of Iowa office in Fort Dodge is handicapped accessible, as are sites used in Wester City and Clarion. In-Home services provided in the clients’ homes.
