To
admit knowing...
To admit knowing, is to be known;
to be looking, is to chance being shown;
to wish understanding, does not make you understood
since life is as it is, not as you would.
If you wish to be heard, you can waste what you say;
if you want to be alone, take it slowly away;
if you choose a direction, you lose all the rest;
to settle for less, you don't see the best.
To grope for an answer, the question you need;
but is the answer the tree, or only the seed?
Is the life of a hermit one of searching for clues,
or is it simply a way of refusing to choose?
If you hide from the facts, do they then search you out?
if you don't listen to truth, does it then speak in a shout?
If you lived your whole life, as but a means to an end,
could you determine a price you'd be unwilling to spend?
A point at which, your end's "value" means naught,
and you'd surrender the war, unwon and unfought?
