Campaigns

How do you extract the campaign maps?
First, download MPQView (See MPQ). Then for Brood War, download the Brood War MPQ ID file (See MPQ, Brood War Compatible).
Run MPQView.exe, and click [File]/[Open Data file]. Select sc_data.txt and click [Open]. Click [File]/[Open Archive]. Go to your CD-ROM drive (make sure your StarCraft or Brood War CD is in, whichever you are trying to work with). Select Install.exe, and then click [Open]. In Install.exe, scroll down until you start seeing files in the "...\campaign\..." path. The maps are in .CHK format - extract all you desire.
To open them, open the Campaign Editor, go to the folder where the CHK file is, type in the filename in the textbox, and click Open.
