6. Robert Johnston Home

In 1832, during a period of growth in the village, Robert Johnston moved his family to this house near the west end of town. He was a wheelwright and cabinetmaker who made spinning wheels, wagon wheels and furniture.

The Johnstons were Presbyterians, along with the Onstots, Allens, Berrys and Camrons, and were noted for their participation in yearly camp meetings.
