This festival has been held annually on the second Sunday of June since 1960. Homegrown strawberries, shortcake and ice cream help to bring the town together for this summer kick-off. Food stands are sponsored by the Lions Club, Boy Scouts and the Long Grove Park Board. There are various forms of entertainment each year. The day begins with the Strawberry Run - a one mile run for children. Other activities include a parade, kids games, a strawberry cooking contest, a softball tournament, and a craft fair. The Grove Tap provides its famous strawberry daiquiris. You are cordially invited to attend.
