Volunteer of the Month

Colo Cares and the Colo Public Library are pleased to announce the August Volunteer of the Month, Joe Harper. Joe has been very active in the Colo community. In the past Joe has been on the school board, active in the Colo United Methodist Church, a member of the Lion's Club, chair of the Reed/Niland Restoration Committee, and so so much more.

In July, Joe was chair of the Ragbrai Committee for Colo. This was a huge undertaking and Joe did a wonderful job showcasing Colo. In August, Joe was Iowan of the Day at the Iowa State Fair, this was not only a honor for Joe, but also for Colo. Thank you Joe, for showing the spirit of Colo Cares and neighbors helping neighbors.
