Katie and Travis were able to buy a house this year, and it is one block away from us! (Katie can stand on her deck and wave to me standing on my porch!) Katie continues to work fulltime and go to school - finishing up a B.A. in Accounting. Travis is at home, taking care of the children and working on the house.
Brian is a junior this year. He plays soccer in the spring and runs cross country in the fall. He and Tim went to Hungary last March (for the second time) for an evangelistic basketball camp. They are planning to go back again this year.
Laura is a freshman. She played volleyball in the fall and will run track in the spring. She stays busy with work, volunteer and church youth group activities. Laura is hoping to go on the Hungary trip this spring.
This is Chipper and a friend of Tori's. Chipper is a 6th grader. He plays soccer in the spring and the fall. He likes to run and has participated in 6 races this year.
Tori is in first grade this year, and loves school. We had a reunion this summer with the families who traveled to China together to adopt our daughters. It was wonderful and we have promised to get together more regularly.
Tim and two of his brothers ran a race together in November. He also ran the Des Moines marathon in October. Our family took a vacation to Florida over Thanksgiving, to visit Kim's sister and her family. We sure enjoyed the beach, and spending time with cousins.
Our grandchildren! Connor is 5, Micheala is 2, and Parker is 1. They are so precious!
God bless you during this holy season, and throughout the coming year.
"For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6
May the Lord be your Counselor, your Father, your Mighty God, and your Peace.
