Council present were Bonny, Chase, Ewing, Balichek and Martin entered at 6:20 pm. Staff present was Hansen. Visitors were Marlene Flory-Midland Time, Mark Jobgen-IIW Engineering and Brian Rodenberg-Midland School Superintendent.

Rodenberg gave a brief presentation on the status of the addition to the elementary school in Oxford Junction. They have been able to get a lot done with the nice weather. The big trucks have been really ripping up Prospect Street. The school had Lynch Excavation dig down 18 inches and put a mesh type material down and then put crushed limestone on top to temporarily fix a portion of the street. When construction is complete the City and the School will have to come to some sort of resolution on repairing the street properly.
May 11, 2010 was set as the date for the public hearing for the SRF Application/Environmental Impact for the water main project.
Jobgen from IIW stated that we are just waiting to sign the papers for the CDBG Grant before we can continue with the water main project. Only preliminary plans have been done and the City will need to send out RFQ’s for engineers once we have signed the paper work. The letting date for the curb & gutter project has been pushed back to July.
Moved by Bonny seconded by Balichek to approve the City Clerk to attend the Data Tech user group meeting and IMFOA Spring Conference in Des Moines on April 21-23, 2010. Roll Call Vote. All Ayes. Motion Carried.
Street committee will meet Wed April 24, 2010 at 6:00 pm on North St. to discuss repairs for the upcoming season.
Moved by Balichek seconded by Bonny to adjourn the meeting at 6:34 pm. All Ayes. Motion Carried.
