SPECIAL MEETING, April 27, 2010.  A special meeting of the Oxford Junction City Council was held at Wregie Memorial Library at 7:00 pm.  Mayor Tank called roll call.  Council present were Bonny, Chase, Ewing, Martin and Balichek.  Staff present was Hansen.  Visitors were Brenda Leonard-Jones County Emergency Management, Marlene Flory-Midland Times, and Brad Brownell-Kluesner Construction.

     Moved by Bonny seconded by Balichek to approve the Agenda.  All Ayes.  Motion Carried.

     Brenda Leonard with Jones County EMA explained about the Hazard Mitigation Plan to the Council and they re-rated the hazards which made a few changes in the order of the  disasters that were listed.  This will enable the City to apply for some grant assistance that may be available.  Mayor Tank then opened the public comment session for the Jones County Hazard Mitigation Plan.  There was no public comment, so the session was closed.

     Brad Brownell from Kluesner Const. presented the Council with new street bids so that they could be compared “apples to apples” with the bids from MSI.  He explained his bids to the Council.

     Moved by Martin seconded by Balichek to approve the bids from Kluesner Const. for the street projects.  Roll Call Vote.  All Ayes.  Motion Carried.

     Moved by Balichek seconded by Martin to adjourn the meeting at 7:49 pm.  All Ayes.  Motion Carried.
