Each year Cedar Lane Estates, Inc. compiles a wish list to enhance the services provided to individuals with disabilities. You or your group can help fullfill all or part of any projects listed below. Contact the administrator for more details and/or ideas.
- Reconstruct and build additional room to accompany the dining room, recreation/activity room and Life Skills training area: 1) Activity/Recreation area with office: 2) Enclosed Life Skills training area w/training kitchen, 3) Convert south indoor patio into dining room, 4) Dining room will be enclosed and separate entrance, 5) Reconstruct meal serving counter, Obtain architectural recommendations and plans.
- Convert a room upstairs for residents laundry training to include two residential washers and two residential dryers (est. $3,000)
- Reconstruct (old administrator apartment) business office space (est. $10,000): 1) Obtain architectural recommendations and plans, 2) Receptionist area with window to entrance, 3) Conference/Employee Training Room, 4) Four offices.
- Replace carpet in women's lounge area (est. $4,000)
- Snow Blade attachment for pick-up truck (est. $3,000)
- Drain Rooter system for maintenance ($1,400)
- New curtain rods for resident bedrooms
- Replace and additional high back chairs for residents lounges and rooms
- Laundry cart - small-for wet clothes transfer
- Metal cabinet with lock for basement laundry
- Two large wardrobes w/locks for basement laundry
- Two outdoor table and chairs w/umbrella (est. $1,000)
- Seven outdoor sitting benches (est. $500)
- PA system for Bingo game and other events involving crowds (est. $450)
- Annual subsidize residents cost for a four day vacation trip (est. $400 per resident)
- "Mandt" instructional training for an employee to train other employees at Cedar Lane Estates, Inc. ($6,000)
- Need more volunteers to enhance resident's quality of life (Priceless)
