Call Waiting lets you deal with a second call when you are on the phone.  If you hear a beep during a telephone call, you have Call Waiting.

To Answer:

Press & release the switch hood to put the first call on hold.  Answer the incoming call.  To return to the original call, press & release the switch hook again.  You may alternate between calls in this manner.
