The new library was completed in 1999. It offers a combined
total of over 8000 books for children and adults, a wide range
of magazines, audio books, videos, 5 internet accessible computers, a printer,
copier, a
fax machine (outgoing only), microfilm
reader and files of old Brooklyn newspapers, children's room,
and a conference room. The Library is governed by a board of trustees,
and helped by the Friends of the Library, a volunteer group who
assists with adult and youth programs.
