Hutchinson wins at North Cedar

Clear Creek Amana’s Anthony Hutchinson defeated Andrew Randolph of North Cedar by a 13-5 major decision to become the lone champion for the Clippers at the Solon Invitational Saturday, Jan. 11 in Solon.
As a team, the Clippers had six wrestlers place at the meet as the team placed ninth with 77.5 points.
At 112 pounds, Lucas Rohret was fourth for CCA, as was Tyler Grauer at 140 pounds.
Drew Cox earned a third place medal for the Clippers at 160 pounds, and Tyler Walls (171) and Bob Hora (215) placed fifth in their weight divisions.
Clippers 1-1 at double dual
Clear Creek Amana went 1-1 at a home Eastern Iowa Hawkeye Conference double dual Wednesday, Jan. 9 in Tiffin.
The Clippers fell to Williamsburg 72-12 but bounced back with a 63-16 victory over Iowa City Regina.
Against Williamsburg, Anthony Hutchinson (119) pinned Anthony Davis in 1 minute, 53 seconds and Josh Rohret (125) defeated Zack Milder 6-2.
In the victory against Regina, the Clippers won six matches by forfeit. In contested matches, Jeff Schmidt (152), Drew Cox (160), Tyler Walls (171), Josh Rohret (125) and Joe Weldon (145) won their matches.
Wilton 55, CCA 20
Wilton knocked off the Clear Creek Amana wrestling team 55-20 in an EIHC dual meet in Tiffin Monday, Jan. 7.
Anthony Hutchinson (119) won by a technical fall decision over Nick Becker by a 18-3 final and Matt Mumm (189) knocked off Logan Lyon by a 3-0 decision.
Tyler Walls (171) and Bob Hora (215) won by forfeit for CCA.
