Armed robbery at Little Amana

An unknown suspect robbed the Little Amana Casey’s with a screwdriver Sunday, Oct. 18.

According to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department report, an armed robbery was reported at the Little Amana Casey’s store at the 225 exit of Interstate 80 at approximately 6:20 p.m. The suspect threatened the clerk with a screwdriver in his effort to have her remove the contents of the cash register. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. The clerk was not injured.

The suspect could only be described as a male of average height and weight. He was able to conceal his facial characteristics by wearing a hooded jacket over much of his face.

This case remains under investigation.
