Events announced for July 4 celebration
The Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce recently announced events included in its first ever three-day Fourth of July celebration.
Friday, July 2, will feature a farmer’s market, Bingo tent, beverage garden, live entertainment and a contest for the adults.
Saturday, July 3, will start with the Firecracker 5K run and one mile Fun Run, followed by the tot trot. Inflatable rides for children will fill the afternoon. The day’s theme “Ag Day,” will bring with it many agricultural-related activities, including a tractor show, children’s tractor pull and farm safety activities. There will also be a tailgate bags tournament, Bingo tent and beverage garden. Evening entertainment will include poms and baton performances, a teen contest, local teen band and a street dance.
The celebration will conclude Sunday, July 4, with a pancake breakfast, church services in the park on the square, performances by square dancers, couch races, parade, Red Sox baseball games and fireworks at sunset.
