Belle Plaine’s Lincoln Café is sold

Belle Plaine’s Lincoln Café has been sold after sitting unoccupied for nearly a year.
Jimmy Limani, owner of the King Tower Café in Tama, closed on the property June 22. He said he bought the café “as is” and doesn’t yet know the extent of needed improvements.
He expected to begin some remodeling efforts this week. Readying the café for opening may take a month or two, he said. The café’s name will remain the Lincoln Café.
A native of Albania, Limani operated a restaurant in Belvidere, Ill. a couple years before he bought the King Tower Café in 2002.
Limani said once remodeling is complete, the Lincoln Café will be open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
