Greetings fellow listers,

I have been a member of [the LDRider] list since 2002. My first rally was the Buckeye 1000 followed by the Butt Lite III. During the intervening years and rallies, I have improved my techniques and have had favorable results. Most of the positive results I owe to you. The collective wisdom of this list and the ideas shared and discussed have largely formed my attitudes and techniques in the approach I have to riding rallies. I have made many great friends and have corresponded with many others.

I'll be taking a little ride this August, mainly due to the wisdom and experience you on this list have so freely shared. And now, in an effort to give back to the community that has given me so much, I would like to invite those who are interested to follow along. As you may know, I have a satellite tracking device from the Star Traxx company.

You can access their website and follow my progress on an hourly basis or look and see where I have been the past few days. Here's how:

• Go to the website: www.star-traxx.com
• log in with the User ID wheresjim
• the Password is 2005ibr
• my marker is recognized by the code "Eagle"
• What you will see when you first log in is a map with my marker in the center. You can use the functions on the right of the page to create a view of my track the past few days.

Alternatively, once on the Star Traxx website you can click on the Live Event button [after August 22]. You will see the location of all who are using the tracking system in the rally. I believe there are about 15 of us.

The same information can be arrived at by going directly to www.star-traxx.com/mctourer and clicking on the Iron Butt Rally from the pull down menu.

The ride begins on August 22nd at noon EDT and ends the morning of September 2nd.
