Our Game Dudes are awesome!

For the 2007-2008 Awana Club year, we adopted an Awana club at the Sudan Interior Church in Fitihab, Sudan (Africa). This club has an average attendance of 160 kids with only 8 leaders.

We made a commitment to raise $240 to help keep this club running. As of February 15th (our Family Night at the Mutchler Center), we were still about $60 short of our goal, so we announced the deal with Mark, the "Game Dude".

The original deal was: If the kids could get our total up to the $220 mark over the next 2 club nights, then Mark would come dressed as the "Game Girl." Later that evening, it was added to the deal that Daniel would also come dressed as a woman if the kids not only made it to $220, but actually made it to our $240 goal.

As you can imagine, the kids didn't need 2 club nights to meet the goal, they actually went over our $240 goal on the first night! (The money we've raised over the $240 mark will go to our Awana Missionary, Ron Glynn.)

And the rest of the story, I think you know...the guys came as girls and we all got a good laugh!
