Why should I go to church?

You may have noticed that many of the pages in your book have a Q & A section above the verses. What you may not have noticed is that you are supposed to memorize the answers to those questions and recite them to your leader. I'll give you a hint here: MEMORIZE THEM NOW TO SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF TROUBLE LATER! You will be expected to go back and recite them (when you least expect it!) and you'll also need to know a backup verse for each answer.

After you look over the answers to the question, test your memory on the backup verses.

Why should I go to church?

Church is a place where I can learn about the Bible. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Church is a place where I can worship and praise God. Psalm 95:6     Psalm 100:2

Church is a place where I can pray for others. Ephesians 6:18     1 Thessalonians 5:11

Church is a place where we can encourage each other. 1 Thessalonians 5:11      Hebrews 3:13

Church is a place where I can make Christian friends. Hebrews 10:24-25

Church is a place where I can serve. 1 Timothy 4:12     Titus 2:7a

I learn to care about others. 2 Corinthians 9:7     James 1:17a

Church is a place where I remember Christ's death and resurrection in a special way. Luke 22:19-20
