Feel free to join in. If you feel inspired to do so, read the above mentioned home pages for complete instructions how to do so.
And, in addition, I am also taking part in the Blue Ribbon Campaign against censorship. Check this out.

And now, for the rest of my home page...
Welcome! I seem to have taken an interest in VRML programming and creating VRML worlds. I'm currently playing around with creation of a VRML world of my own. I'm using WebFX as my VRML browser. In order to view VRML documents, you need either Microsoft's Internet Explorer or Netscape 2.0 and a VRML plug-in. There are also browsers that have both features built in, such as Internet Explorer. Your Netscape version and the version of the plug-in must match!! If you need Netscape 2.0, click here:

After you've done this, see my list of cool VRML worlds to browse through. I've got quite a few here. I've also got a list of VRML resources here.
I have two so far that I've created. One is really nothing but a sphere, but you get the feel for browsing VRML worlds if you take a look at this. For those of you who have played Doom or Descent, you'll be able to learn fast. VRML files don't have an extension of .vrml, though. It's .wrl, but don't ask me why. My server doesn't seem to support VRML, so if you have WebFX or another VRML browser, here's the script for it. You have to download it to your computer and then view it with Internet Explorer or Netscape with VRML browser attached. Usually, you could view this right online, but... Enough talking, check it out.
If you don't want to go through the pain of downloading the file and then viewing it from there, here's a gif of it, but I've got to warn you - it was a screen capture with the only program I had for screen captures and it doesn't look very good.
For creating my VRML world sphere, I used the combined features of two different programs from Caligari, Fountain, which will also let you browse VRML files, but it doesn't work within your browser, and trueSpace2, which lets you create 3D objects and animate them and import them into Fountain. I created this sphere in about 5-10 minutes. I think that it would have been sooner if the program was a little easier to use, because it took me about an hour just to figure the thing out. Well worth it, though.
Another one I've created, called Ball Through the Hoop. Right now, all you can do is browse around in the 3D world and look at it. I'm trying to animate it so the ball goes through the hoop. Same instructions as above apply. And here's a gif for you losers out there. :)
What should I use for a browser? Here's what I hope to be a more complete list of browsers for VRML arranged by operating system.
Keep looking for updates to this page. If you have anything to add, or links that have expired, I would greatly appreciate it if you would let me know. Thanks in advance, and happy VRMLing... :)
