"The Lion King 1 1/2" begins with Timon (Nathan Lane) and Pumbaa (Ernie Sabella) watching the original Lion King movie. Timon keeps insisting that they fast-forward to their own scene, and Pumbaa responds by telling their story from before the original movie began. Timon's story begins with his mother (Julie Kavner) and Uncle Max (Jerry Stiller), his departure from the meerkat colony, his education in "Hakuna Matata", his meeting Pumbaa and other adventures.
