Dear Friends In Christ,

Greetings in the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

One of the most important duties I have as your Pastor is visiting you if you are in the Hospital.  Everything that leads up to your admission to the hospital and the rehab you may need after you leave the hospital can be very worrisome. God is praised when your worries are replaced with success and good health.  God’s comfort is present through the whole process of an illness.  That comfort is mainly in God’s Word.  Romans 8:31 asks the question, “What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?”  With God on your side, you will be cared for, for all eternity.

When entering the hospital please consider the following things.

Let Pastor and the Church Office know.

Call or email me yourself.  Sometimes the hospital will call, sometimes they will not, even if the say they will.

Don’t expect me to remember if you only tell me as you are leaving worship. (Many things are discussed in those few minutes. Please remind me again.)

Prayer is always a good thing.

If your stay is short and you do not need a visit while in the hospital, tell me just to pray.  Sometimes I maybe at the hospital to visit someone else and it would be convenient for me to stop in for a quick visit.

If you would like to be added to the Prayer Chain, we can do that.

I would love to see you in the hospital.

It lets you know God is thinking of you and watching out for you.  (That happens whether I visit or not.  God has all the healing power.)

I can assess your condition better face to face.

My frequency of visiting will be determined by the seriousness of your illness or accident, the distance to the hospital and my schedule.

Please keep these things in mind if you are ill or in need.

In Service to Our Lord,

Pastor Dave
