Hello Friends,

Blessings to all of you as we look forward to summer! As always, May is a month with a lot happening around the church. Check the calendar for when our church clean up day is scheduled, when we will celebrate the graduates, the last day of Sunday School for the season, and when summer worship hours commence.

This summer we will be publishing a church directory. It has been ten years since our last one, so it is definitely time! We are working with Lifetouch and are excited about the project. Our photos will be taken at the church on Friday June 21 from 2:00 to 8:30 and Saturday June 22 from 10:00-2:00. We would love to have your picture in our new directory. Everyone who gets their photo taken will receive a free 8x10 and a free directory. If you bring a canned good item to the church at the time of your photo, you will receive a $5.00 coupon toward the purchase of more pictures. You can sign up for your photo time at church on Sunday May 12. We will also be making the scheduling available online in the near future. Be sure to watch for the information in the mail! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask Terri Becker or Doug Hora as they are serving on the church directory committee. We are looking forward to having a great new directory by the end of the summer!

After School Program

As the school year winds down, we get ready to finish up the After School program for the year. The last date that this program will meet will be Wednesday, May 15^th. We will begin again in the fall. Thank you to all who have been involved, by donating your time, some snacks or guidance.

On The Calendar

Sunday Night Live

This is for youth in grades 7-9. We will meet Sundays , May 5 and 19 at 5:00pm.

Clean up day

We will be having an indoor/outdoor clean up day on Saturday, May 11 at 9:00 am

Deacons

The Deacons will have a meeting on Thursday, May 16 at the church. This meeting is at 6:30.

Summer Hours

Our summer worship hours will begin on Sunday, May 26. There is no Sunday School, and worship begins at 9:30 am.

Children of Eden This year’s production for the annual New Era Dinner Theater will take place on May 24, 25, 31 and June 1. Dinner will be served at 6:00 with the show following at 7:00pm. Reservations are required. Adults are $22, and children are $12.

Greetings from Sunday School

Another year of Sunday School is winding down. The last week we will meet will be May 19^th. We will resume Sunday School classes again in September.

Pastor takes a study break . . . Sit N Sew, Session meet . . ladies have a night out at Farmer’s Table . . . we plan a new directory . . . our turn for Leland Smith . . .we celebrate a Ruby anniversary

Vacation Bible School will be June 24th-28th from 9:00 -noon each day. The theme this year is Kingdom Rock. Any children aged 4 on up are invited to come and have a great time. We are looking for volunteers to help in the kitchen and work with preschool.
Look for a sign up in the vestry to register your children or to help with VBS. If you have any questions, see or call Kelli Sanders 563 506-1267.
